Job Title: Non IT - Employer Advocate

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: Temp - 7 months

Pay Range: $20/hr $22/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking an Employer Advocate to join our dynamic team supporting the Indiana Public Retirement System. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in customer service, data review, and benefits administration and a proven ability to resolve member and employer issues through accurate processing and clear communication .

Responsibilities:

• Review and process employer-submitted information to maintain employee accounts and process benefits.
• Communicate with customers via email and limited phone to update, clarify, and correct employer records.
• Process annual employer submissions, including certified salaries and payroll calendars, and update approved employer contacts.
• Maintain spreadsheets, run reports, and track workloads to meet service levels and customer satisfaction goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree with at least 1 year of customer service experience, or High School diploma/GED with 3 years of customer service experience.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, group benefits, or the pension industry.
• Proficient written and verbal communication with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to manage spreadsheets, generate reports, and track workloads.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of pension benefits and operations.
• Experience supporting call center or employer advocate functions.

Work Arrangement & Additional Details:

• On-site in downtown Indianapolis during training for approximately 6–8 weeks. Hybrid option may be discussed after training. Fully remote work is not available.
