Registered Nurse - Adult Critical Care / Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with a willingness to rotate between acute and long-term care, including every other weekend.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including but not limited to Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), pneumonia, and respiratory failure. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

• Perform patient assessments and provide respiratory management, including ABG sampling and ventilator management.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Implement pulmonary hygiene and manage airway devices.
• Support patients in extubation and intubation assistance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in adult critical care or emergency department.
• New York State RN license required.
• Current certifications in BLS and RRT required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Charge experience is preferred but not required.
