Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse – Night Shift – Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients with complex conditions, including cardiac cases and respiratory distress, within a fast-paced ICU environment. The role requires managing ventilated patients and multitasking on multiple drip titrations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications and Education Requirements: Valid ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS certifications; valid KS or Compact Registered Nurse license at the time of submission.
• Shift Details: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience with advanced skills in ventilator management, arterial line care, chest tube procedures, and cardiac patient management. Experience with patients requiring continuous IV sedation, CVA/Stroke management, and the use of specialized equipment such as FloTrac/Vigileo, Swan-Ganz catheters, and Hypothermia protocols is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing cardiac surgery patients, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, and open-heart units is advantageous.
• Additional Responsibilities: Managing multisystem organ failure, performing invasive procedures such as PICC line placement, and supporting post-cardiac surgery recovery.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit proof of certifications and licenses, with RTO preferences specified at the time of submittal. Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientations provided on the unit.
