Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Flexible/rotating weekend and holiday shift requirements
• Uses Epic EMR charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• TNCC, TNS, or TCRN certification required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for a group of ED patients, performing assessments, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions
• Collaborates with providers, patients, and families to modify care plans based on continuous assessment
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Provides constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
• Responsible for patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates previously employed by the health system within the past 6 months are not eligible to return
