Licensed Electricians

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Base Pay: $40-$45/hour
Prevailing Wage: Approximately 95% of projects are prevailing wage
Travel Per Diem: Typically $125-$175/day when applicable Skilled Trades Partners (STP) is hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians with commercial solar experience for projects based out of the Buffalo Grove, IL area and throughout Illinois. This is a great opportunity for experienced solar electricians looking for steady work and strong earning potential.

Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations on commercial solar projects
- Work on rooftop and ground-mount/community solar systems
- Install and bend conduit
- Pull and terminate wire
- Install electrical equipment, panels, disconnects, and related components
- Read electrical drawings, layouts, and project specifications
- Troubleshoot electrical systems as needed
- Follow NEC, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
- Travel to projects throughout Illinois as needed
- Active electrical license required - Chicago, Elgin, or applicable municipal electrical license
- Commercial solar experience required
- OSHA certification
- Experience with rooftop and/or ground-mount solar strongly preferred
- Must have your own basic electrical hand tools
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout Illinois
- $40-$45/hour base pay
- Approximately 95% of projects are prevailing wage
- $125-$175/day per diem typically available when traveling
