Job Title: Acute Care Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7a-7p Hours per Shift: 36 hours/week Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: State license or multistate license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS via AHA required Must-Have: No hits on license Description: We are seeking an Acute Care RN for a new department focused on patient admissions. This position is for 26 weeks only. Shifts will be from 7a to 7p. Holidays will be required as needed. May be required to float to other units. No call required. This is an award-winning Level II Trauma Center. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, short-term acute care environment. The department is designed for rapid patient throughput, with an ideal length of stay of 4 hours or less. During this time, nurses will be responsible for initiating admission orders. Nurses will complete the admission navigator. Nurses will document the initial admission assessment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and remain efficient in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Experience managing cardiac and anticoagulant drips is essential. Candidates should thrive in a setting that requires strong time management, clinical judgment, and flexibility to support rapid patient progression through the admission process.
