Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years; 1st timers accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Experience with ventilated patients - Central line care/management - CVA/Acute Stroke management - Management of dysrhythmias - Post Cardiac and Neurosurgery management - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Suctioning (ETT, NT) Description: The position involves caring for a diverse patient population including adults and geriatric patients. General diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-operative complications, and more. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 1:2-3. The average daily census is 19 with a total of 24 rooms available. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various teams including IV Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend unless specified otherwise. The nurse should be prepared for the possibility of floating within the facility as needed. If major holidays occur during the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work as specified. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. The candidate will be clinically reviewed to determine fit for the position. Only experienced travelers should apply, as the position may involve managing additional patients.
