The Asphalt Paving Foreman leads a small crew in asphalt paving projects, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure quality and safety. This role requires coordinating equipment use and site activities, managing local and occasional out-of-town travel, and focusing on specialized paving projects to drive team success and project excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a small asphalt paving crew (less than 10 members)
- Operate and oversee the use of paving equipment on site
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and manage safety on site
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and progress
- Coordinate tasks among team members to optimize productivity
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project status and crew performance
- Manage regular local travel and occasional out-of-town assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving
- Expertise in asphalt paving techniques and equipment operation
- Proven ability to supervise and lead crews effectively
- Experience with project coordination and team communication
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on paving challenges
