Dining Room Manager

Oversee dining room operations by providing solution-oriented, positive, exemplary customer service. Will oversee operations within the dining room and at the hostess podium. Primary job duties include providing leadership and oversight of dining room servers and host/hostess, supporting dining management in the training of new team members, ensuring cleanliness and proper opening/closing of the host stand, ensuring team members are properly attired/uniformed, assigning servers to reservation floor plan, attending pre-meal meetings and assisting during dinner service as needed, making reservations by phone and in person for dining and for to-go orders, answering phone, checking messages and returning calls promptly, assuring set up of special events, and other duties as assigned.

Required experience includes two years of fine dining experience preferred. Required skills and competencies include knowledge of dining operations, ability to provide high customer service levels in a fast-paced environment, effective communicator and collaborator, excellent telephone skills and professional manner, math and problem-solving abilities, good computer skills, and ability to read, write and speak the English language.

Physical demands/work environment include ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-50 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time standing (90%) or sitting (10%). Ability to lead guests to tables and assist with seating. Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.

Founded in 1974 by the father and son team of Charley and Ron Woodsby, Talk of the Town Restaurant Group encompasses six restaurants in the Central Florida area, including Charley's Steak House, FishBones, Texas Cattle Company and Vito's Chop House. The locally owned, Orlando based company has a long-standing history of success in the restaurant industry. Ron's son, Clark Woodsby has since joined the company as Executive Vice President to continue three generations of the family's restaurant business.
