Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – ER, Lewiston, Maine. This travel, temporary assignment in a hospital emergency department begins 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,047 to $2,250, with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process
- Assess patients on admission and throughout the stay; monitor and document changes in condition
- Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as needed; manage rapid responses
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with the ED team, participate in care coordination, and ensure patient safety
- May assume charge nurse and/or preceptor roles as needed; maintain professional communication and handoffs

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- No licensure hits or background issues on file
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience: at least 2 years in the ED setting; at least 1 year of prior critical care nursing experience
- Education: graduate of an accredited RN program
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the assignment location
- Ability to work in a high-acuity emergency department environment
