Savvy Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Fertilizer Lawn Care Technician to provide professional lawn care services, including fertilizer and weed control applications, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and customer service.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working outdoors. Previous lawn care or fertilizer application experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

What You’ll Do

• Apply fertilizers, weed control products, and other lawn care treatments according to product labels, application schedules, and safety requirements.
• Properly calibrate and operate fertilizer spreaders, backpack sprayers, and other lawn care equipment.
• Inspect lawns and turf areas for weeds, pests, disease, or signs of stress and report concerns to your supervisor.
• Perform routine lawn care services such as fertilization, weed control, aeration, and other turf maintenance services.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust applications as necessary.
• Safely load, transport, handle, and store fertilizers and other lawn care products according to applicable regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain and clean equipment and ensure spreaders and sprayers are properly calibrated.
• Complete accurate service records, application reports, and material usage records.
• Communicate professionally with customers and answer basic questions about lawn care services when appropriate.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Participate in training, safety meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Work independently as well as with the maintenance team to complete daily routes and assignments.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in lawn care, turf management, fertilizer application, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of turfgrass, fertilizer products, weeds, pests, and lawn care practices is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safely handle lawn care products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer or smartphone skills for completing service records and daily documentation.
• Pesticide/fertilizer applicator certification is a plus. Savvy Staffing Solutions is willing to assist the right candidate with obtaining required certifications.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Seasonal schedules may vary based on weather, workload, and customer needs.

Physical Requirements This position requires regular outdoor physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying materials and equipment, and working in varying weather conditions.
