Logistics Manager

OFS is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and coordinate logistics activities supporting our growing U.S. operations, starting with the relocation of GE TM2500 mobile gas turbine units from Conroe, Texas to Brownsville, Texas. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement of turbine packages, balance-of-plant equipment, materials, tools and parts, while maintaining strong communication across the project team, supply chain, vendors, the client and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a hands-on logistics professional with experience supporting industrial, energy, power generation, rotating equipment or other service-driven operations, including oversized and heavy-haul movements. This individual will plan and execute the TM2500 transport scope, manage third-party transportation partners, improve visibility across shipments, and develop scalable logistics processes that OFS can carry into future U.S. projects. Key responsibilities Plan and oversee the transport of TM2500 turbine and generator packages, auxiliary skids, containers and balance-of-plant equipment from Conroe to Brownsville, including heavy-haul, oversize and overweight movements. Coordinate route surveys, state and county permits, escorts, utility clearances and road or bridge restrictions with carriers, brokers and authorities. Coordinate site access, laydown areas, staging, crane and rigging interfaces, load-out at Conroe and receipt at Brownsville with the Project Manager and Mechanical and E&I Project Leads. Sequence shipments to the project schedule; track critical loads and proactively communicate delays, risks or changes to the Project Manager, Project Controller and client. Develop contingency plans for critical or time-sensitive movements to minimize disruption to disassembly, installation and commissioning. Day-to-day logistics management Manage day-to-day logistics for the movement of equipment, parts, tools and materials across OFS U.S. operations. Coordinate domestic and international shipments, inbound and outbound, using ground, air, ocean, expedited and specialized freight as required. Support international shipping requirements, including customs documentation, import/export processes, commercial invoices, packing lists and coordination with customs brokers. Support inventory and warehouse activities with material movements, receiving priorities and shipment scheduling; maintain accurate logistics and inventory records. Investigate and resolve freight claims, damaged shipments, delivery discrepancies and other logistics issues. Vendor and commercial management Manage relationships with heavy-haul carriers, freight forwarders, brokers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Negotiate and evaluate freight rates, service agreements and transportation options to balance cost, service and operational requirements. Verify carrier insurance, equipment certification and compliance with OFS QHSE and client requirements before award. Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs, improve delivery performance and increase operational efficiency. Compliance, safety and quality Ensure logistics activities comply with company policies, client requirements, DOT and state transportation regulations and OFS QHSE standards. Work with the QHSE Manager on load securement, lift plans, journey management and transport risk assessments. Ensure shipping documentation, manifests, bills of lading and packing lists are complete and retained for the project quality dossier. Process, reporting and team Establish and maintain standardized logistics procedures, documentation and workflows that can scale with OFS U.S. growth. Monitor logistics performance through key metrics such as on-time delivery, freight spend, expedited shipments, carrier performance and transportation-related issues; report to project and OFS leadership. Lead, mentor and develop logistics personnel as the function and team grow. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Required qualifications U.S. passport or permanent U.S. residency (Green Card) — mandatory. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or related operations. Previous experience coordinating domestic freight and working with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers or 3PL providers. Demonstrated experience with oversized, heavy-haul, high-value or specialized equipment transportation, including permits and escorts. Strong understanding of transportation planning, freight management and logistics documentation. Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating logistics costs and service levels. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication across departments and levels of an organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams. Ability to manage multiple high-priority shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment and respond to urgent operational requirements. Preferred qualifications Experience within the energy, oil and gas, power generation, turbomachinery, rotating equipment, manufacturing or industrial services industries; TM2500, LM2500 or similar mobile gas turbine experience is a strong advantage. Experience supporting international logistics and import/export activities, with knowledge of customs requirements, Incoterms, freight classifications and international shipping documentation. Experience with ERP, transportation management (TMS) or inventory management systems. Familiarity with Texas DOT oversize/overweight permitting and port operations (Port of Brownsville). Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Ability to work effectively in both office and operational or industrial environments, including outdoor site conditions.
