Job Description

Looking for an opportunity to make a direct impact in a supportive elementary school setting? This full-time contract position offers an excellent way for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to work closely with young students and provide essential speech and language services. Located near Ellijay, GA, with a convenient work schedule of 40 hours per week, this role runs from August 3, 2026, to May 26, 2027.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Valid GA SLP license and active teaching certificate
Open to SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY candidates
Experience or specialization working with elementary-aged children
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the school

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
Provide direct therapy and intervention services tailored to each student’s needs
Maintain regular documentation and progress tracking for caseload
Participate in school meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary educational teams
Educate staff and parents on strategies to support communication development
