Acute Travel Registered Nurse: Behavioral Health

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Acute Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health to join our team. This position presents an excellent opportunity for those passionate about supporting mental health in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Overview

The Acute Travel Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Behavioral Health unit, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The Registered Nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and engage in discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within the Behavioral Health unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient behavior and vital signs.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and resources available.
• Participate in patient rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute care and/or behavioral health nursing.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Current required certifications and training related to behavioral health are necessary prior to start.

Orientation Schedule

Orientation for new hires occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Candidates will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the healthcare culture and familiarize themselves with procedures and protocols.
