Charge Nurse Endoscopy

Position Overview Provides leadership and coordination in the Endoscopy department, ensuring quality patient care and efficient staffing. Responsible for assigning, educating, and monitoring nursing/support staff, evaluating patient care effectiveness, and collaborating with providers to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assigns and supervises staff during shifts, contributes to performance evaluations. Assesses patient care needs and develops appropriate care assignments. Ensures evidence-based practice and compliance with clinical standards. Addresses patient care concerns and participates in hiring, training, and staff development. Evaluates patient outcomes and identifies areas for improvement. Performs other duties as assigned, maintaining safety and professionalism. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing. 1-2 years of GI procedural RN experience preferred. Valid RN license in the state or compact license. Current BLS certification. Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills. Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, lifting, and using sensory perceptions.
