Work Environment Our work setting is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to carry out your responsibilities from the comfort of your own home in Henderson, Nevada, or any location that suits you. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Lifecare, your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting therapeutic counseling sessions with clients via video chat, maintaining high ethical standards and a compassionate approach. Employing solution-focused treatment modalities to address the unique challenges faced by each client. Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that draw on the client’s strengths and specific needs. Facilitating client self-discovery and insight into their experiences, emotions, and relationships. Monitoring client progress against treatment goals and adjusting plans accordingly to ensure the development of healthy coping strategies. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you'll primarily work with stable, low acuity adults who present a variety of mental health challenges. Our focus is on assisting clients in developing essential life skills that enhance their overall quality of life. The Lifecare Counseling and Services emphasizes an inclusive approach, catering to a diverse clientele, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support. Qualifications To ensure effective service delivery, candidates must possess the following qualifications: A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. A current, state-issued mental health counseling license to practice independently without supervision, with accepted credentials including: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) No limited or provisional licenses and no prior disciplinary actions on your professional record. Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills and a supportive demeanor. Proficiency in computer use, with access to a reliable internet connection and a device equipped for video conferencing. Preferred Experience Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling will be preferred. Experience with diverse populations and a background in solution-focused therapy will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
