About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Pending License accepted on a case-by-case basis Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The position requires a minimum of three years of nursing experience. Epic experience is mandatory for this role. Travelers with three years of experience may apply. On-call requirements include call shifts twice on weeknights every six weeks. There will be one weekend shift of 12 hours, days or nights, every month and a half. Candidates must float within their scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. Maximum allowable time off is seven days during the 13-week assignment. Hard stops for procedures include Orthopedic Trauma and Craniotomy. Strong preference is given for scrub experience. The patient population includes Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. All candidates must provide copies of required certifications. References from recent positions must be submitted. Candidates must have no employment gaps greater than 30 days in their work history. Epic experience is strongly preferred for this role, especially for registered nursing positions. Candidates without Epic experience may still be considered for difficult-to-fill positions. Failure to provide adequate notice before canceling an assignment may result in penalties within the system. All necessary modules will be completed during orientation and renewed annually. Module requirements vary by specialty. Module time is non-billable if completed within the first eight hours of orientation.
