About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for 3rd Party Digital Commercialization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, operationalizing, and executing the digital and transportation strategy for 3rd party and indirect shipping providers and platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company's 3rd party solutions meet and exceed customer needs, support broader organizational objectives, and drive revenue growth. The Managing Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including transportation and digital sales, marketing, product development, and engineering, to guide the strategic commercial vision, foster innovation, and maintain the company's leadership in a competitive market. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include strategy development, operational execution, team management, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with an MBA preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in general management, strategy and operations, or equivalent roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience at a 3rd party shipping platform, shipping technology provider, or marketplace, and possess a strong background in promotion, research, pricing, financial analysis, and telemarketing. Strong communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills are essential for influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels and for developing partnership agreements. The Managing Director will also be responsible for building, mentoring, and growing a high-performing 3rd party team, and fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement within the commercial organization.
