Contract | Night Shift (3×12 Hours, 17:00-05:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Adult/Geriatric Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with staffing ratios of 1:5/6
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, and renal failure
• Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and charting
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required - floating is mandatory for all travelers
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays per contract requirements
• Wear required unit scrubs: red top and black pants

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Indiana RN license - must be in hand prior to start date; pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience (2 years preferred)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• All required certifications must be in hand at time of submission
• Nursing degree from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
• Indiana residents are not eligible for this position - locals are not accepted for Medical Surgical Telemetry roles

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Clinical experience with thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, and renal failure
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
