About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP of Statutory Reporting to provide strategic leadership for its statutory reporting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all statutory financial reporting activities, driving process improvements, managing regulatory filings, and ensuring compliance with NAIC and state insurance regulations. This role requires a collaborative finance leader with a strong technical accounting background, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record in team development and stakeholder engagement. The VP will also be involved in cross-functional partnerships, technical accounting, regulatory change management, capital management, and risk oversight. Applicants for the VP of Statutory Reporting position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a CPA certification being preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in NAIC insurance filings, including at least 5 years' in a supervisory role, is required. The role demands a leader with a strong understanding of GAAP and SAP, expertise in accounting and regulatory matters, and the ability to effectively communicate and simplify complex concepts. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented leader, adept at mentoring and leading by example, and will have a demonstrable track record of working autonomously and driving progress. Experience in public company and M&A is also desirable.
