Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Full-Time Night Shift

Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH) is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) on a full-time night shift.

Position Summary:

The CNA provides direct patient care and assists residents with activities of daily living while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-focused, and works well as part of a healthcare team.

Essential Duties:

• Provide quality, compassionate care to residents under the direction of nursing staff.

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living.

• Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as assigned.

• Assist with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and maintaining patient safety.

• Answer call lights promptly and respond appropriately to resident needs.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.

• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nurse.

• Assist nursing staff with patient care and other duties within the CNA scope of practice.

• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines.

• Provide respectful and compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital setting preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Must demonstrate professionalism, compassion, patience, and a commitment to quality patient care.
