Systems AdministratorThe Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise infrastructure. This role provides technical expertise across servers, virtualization, storage, identity management, and Microsoft cloud technologies while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical business systems.The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of direct systems administration experience and demonstrates effective communication skills, a customer-service mindset, forward-thinking problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement. This individual will serve as a technical leader within the IT Operations team, driving modernization initiatives and partnering across the business to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure AdministrationAdminister and support Microsoft Windows Server environments.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related domain services.Maintain enterprise virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere and associated technologies.Monitor and optimize server performance, availability, and capacity planning.Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.Perform system upgrades, patch management, and technology lifecycle management.Microsoft 365 G Cloud AdministrationAdminister Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.Support Microsoft Entra ID administration, identity governance, conditional access, and authentication technologies.Participate in cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.Manage user provisioning, licensing, security policies, and role-based access controls.Storage AdministrationAdminister and support enterprise storage environments including Pure Storage platforms.Monitor storage health, performance, replication, and capacity utilization.Develop and execute storage improvement and optimization strategies.Security G ComplianceMaintain system security configurations and assist with cybersecurity initiatives.Support vulnerability remediation efforts and security hardening activities.Participate in security audits, compliance assessments, and incident response efforts.Ensure adherence to established IT governance, policies, and standards.Project Delivery G Continuous ImprovementLead or participate in infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, consolidations, and system deployments.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that increase reliability, security, efficiency, and business value.Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.Document technical procedures, architecture, standards, and support knowledge.Operational SupportServe as a Tier III escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.Collaborate with help desk, network, security, and application teams to resolve incidents and prevent recurring issues.Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance activities as required.Maintain a strong customer-service orientation while supporting end users and business stakeholders.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.ExperienceMinimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Systems Administration or Infrastructure Engineering.Experience supporting enterprise environments with multiple locations and diverse business operations.Technical Skills Required:Experience with any combination of the following technologies:VMware vSphereMicrosoft 365 AdministrationMicrosoft Entra IDWindows Server AdministrationActive Directory C Group PolicyDomain Services (DNS, DHCP)Pure StorageMicrosoft Azure ServicesBackup and Disaster Recovery SolutionsPowerShell Scripting and AutomationEndpoint Management PlatformsOther Skills Required:The successful candidate will demonstrate:Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical teams and build trusted relationships throughout the organization.Forward-thinking and strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate infrastructure needs, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend solutions that support business objectives.Continuous improvement mentality, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance system reliability, security, efficiency, automation, and service delivery.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, develop effective solutions, and drive issues to resolution.Ownership and accountability in managing critical systems, projects, and operational responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of quality and reliability.Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service and maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative attitude with a willingness to share knowledge, mentor peers, and contribute positively to the culture and success of the IT organization.
