About the Position

Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM start time, may be scheduled on weekends Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology Certifications: Current CPR Certification, California issued Fluoroscopy Permit, Current ARRT licensure Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience, Previous traveler experience preferred Description: The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist's primary responsibilities include positioning patients for x-ray imaging. The technologist performs imaging procedures independently and operates x-ray equipment. They are responsible for processing images and documenting them into the appropriate system. The technologist provides basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse. Patient care responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, and obtaining specimens including blood draws if qualified. They prepare patients for clinician evaluations and assist clinicians as needed. The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will ensure that the area is orderly and well-stocked with supplies and equipment. Floating to other departments may be required as needed.
