Job Summary and Qualifications

• As a Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership that enhances the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for both patients and their families. You will also implement medically prescribed interventions.

  Qualifications include:

  • Preferred Experience: At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
  • Required Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, with the expectation of obtaining a BSN within five years of starting the RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and affiliated entities. Exemptions or extensions may be granted by the facility's Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and reported to the CNO Council. Facilities will track exemptions as needed. RNs with ten or more years of experience are exempt.
  • Required License/Certifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing is mandatory. An eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensees should verify with the NCBON.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
  • Wound Certification is essential! (CWOCN) Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse.
