Merchandising Assistant

Century Group

Century Group's natural resources client is seeking a Merchandising Assistant. You will provide essential administrative and customer support to the Trader, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of the entire purchase and sales contract process from entry to final settlement. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $55,000 to $75,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

Support the Trader by documenting daily commodity trading activities, including entering data into the ERP system to record physical contracts, hedges, settlements, and cash applications.
Provide logistical support for commodity shipments via rail, truck, container, or barge, including supplying and billing equipment, tracing rail cars, and resolving delivery issues.
Manage and reconcile offsite inventories.
Assist customers with inquiries related to commodities, freight, and accounting.
Maintain brokerage information and commissions.
Oversee certifications with various vendors and agencies.
Act as the primary contact for accounts receivable collections.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience as a Merchandising Assistant.
Previous experience as a Merchandising Assistant is required.
General knowledge of accounting processes and the ability to reconcile information.
