Mercy Ridge is looking to hire a skilled, motivated Line Cook to join our dining team. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef, the incumbent is primarily responsible for preparing meals from the main kitchen for all dining venues to serve residents, guests and employees.

Schedule: 

• Full time, non-exempt position working various days that include weekends and the potential for overtime.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares food items on the menus for residents, guests and employees according to daily production sheets. 

• Follow recipes, portion control guidelines and ensure proper food preparation techniques to maintain high standards of quality and presentation. 
• Ensures work station is cleaned and sanitized.
• Conducts regular checks to verify that ingredients meet quality standards and maintains consistency in preparation. 
• Follows diet instructions, knows basic methods of preparing food in quantities and is familiar with seasoning requirements.
