Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Collierville, TN 38017, Little Rock Arkansas, or Huntsville Alabama

Work Model: Onsite to get acclimated, then hybrid 2-3 days on site

Travel: Travel is REQUIRED up to 35% of the time. Traveling to other sites in the southeast (Louisianna, Mississippi, Texas, East Coast)

About the Role

Our client, a well-established organization headquartered in Cincinnati, is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support operations in the Memphis area. This is a direct-hire opportunity where you’ll play a hands-on role partnering closely with operational leaders across multiple locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Analyze and compile financial data to support day-to-day operations and leadership decision-making
• Prepare and review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance and trend analysis
• Support forecasting and annual budgeting across multiple operational units
• Partner with operations leaders to review financial statements and explain financial concepts in a clear, practical way
• Assist with bids, labor models, forecasts, and budgets
• Identify financial trends and present insights to senior leadership
• Maintain and support financial reporting systems, working with external vendors as needed
• Track and report headcount, fleet data, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Contribute to process improvements and occasionally support training or mentoring at the location level

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or a similar finance-focused role
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
• Experience using financial reporting or budgeting tools (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms)
• Hands-on experience with P&L analysis
• Background supporting operations, field-based, or blue-collar environments (manufacturing, transportation, logistics, etc.)
• Ability to confidently explain financial information to non-financial managers
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach

Nice to Have

• Experience within transportation or waste management industries
• Prior work supporting multiple sites or locations
