Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Job Summary:
Provides specialized wound care services to patients, addressing skin prevention, wound management, ostomies, and continence needs. Acts as a resource and liaison for staff and patients to ensure optimal care and education.

Responsibilities:

• Consults with staff and patients to develop individualized wound care plans.
• Assesses patient wounds, skin conditions, and continence issues to determine appropriate interventions.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on wound prevention, management, and ostomy care.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintains accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and progress.
• Upholds patient safety standards and adheres to quality improvement protocols.

Qualifications:

• Holds a valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
• Successfully completed a registered nurse degree program.
• Possesses at least 3 years of full-time experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Certified in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing (CWOCN or equivalent).
• Maintains current BLS certification and complies with renewal requirements.
• Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills.
