Position Summary The Regional Yard Specialist (Equipment Management Program) serves as a key leader in assisting the Equipment Manager with the third-party rental equipment management program and trucking coordination across the region. This role ensures operational efficiency by supervising and driving processes, providing guidance to teams, and proactively resolving challenges. The Specialist is responsible for managing requests, sourcing equipment, tracking usage, and ensuring timely transportation of assets to and from Projects in the Southern Region. Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Serve as the primary point of contact for regional third-party rental equipment and trucking needs, ensuring seamless execution of operations. Oversee the coordination of equipment and trucking requests, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and within project timelines. Work closely with project teams, vendors, and Yard Partners to anticipate needs and proactively resolve potential issues. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and financial controls related to equipment and trucking operations. Provide regular status updates to leadership, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated Embrace McCarthy’s Core Values: Genuine, We, Not I, and All In Equipment Management Program (EMP) Supervise & preform the intake and fulfillment of third-party rental equipment requests, ensuring timely responses and delivery. Oversee & execute the sourcing efforts by evaluating multiple vendor options and presenting cost-effective solutions to project teams. Ensure proper tracking and record-keeping of all rental equipment, working closely with the Equipment Manager and Yard Team for transparency. Lead preventative maintenance coordination with third-party vendors and project teams to ensure equipment remains operational and compliant. Assist in resolving billing disputes and discrepancies, working collaboratively with vendors and internal billing teams. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of similar experience preferably in personnel assets or construction industry or industrial sector. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, delegate, and ensure accountability across teams. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines with a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with project teams, vendors, and leadership.
