Schoolcraft, MI – Regional Class A Driver Operate tractor/trailer equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the distribution centers to the vendor's destination. Ensure that product is delivered within a timely manner and that product is secured and arrives to destination undamaged and in its original condition. Maintain driver daily logs, trip reports, and other documents as required. Perform a full pre-trip and post-trip inspection on tractor/trailer. Communicate any delivery issues and/or damaged product to management immediately. Drivers will deliver and unload/load medical equipment to hospitals. Unloading equipment on rollers and placing equipment inside the hospital dock. Tractors equipped with a crane to assist. Multi-stop white glove delivery. States covered: Lower MI, IN, OH, KY, IL, Western PA, and WV. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management. Compensation: $60.00 per diem per overnight. Paid hourly $29.00 per hour. Quarterly safety bonus if safety requirements are met within the quarter. Paid every week via direct deposit. (These figures do not include layover pay.) Minimum Qualifications: Must have CDL‑A. Must have 2 years of verifiable tractor‑trailer driving experience within the past 7 years. Must be able to operate a manual transmission. Good driving record. Must be able to pass background check, DOT drug screen, and DOT physical. Must be registered in the National Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with a clear record. Prior delivery experience: white glove delivery service preferred but is NOT required. Stable employment history. Employment verifications will be completed to verify driver has adequate experience and to verify driving history with former employers. Must have strong, excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be able to push, pull, and remove equipment from racks and position equipment in designated area. Pallet-jack experience preferred. You know where you are going, what you are doing, and when your day starts and ends. Communicate and work effectively with dispatchers, customers, team members and/or third-party vendors working in the designated work location. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and any incidents. Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A Proven experience as a class A CDL driver with a satisfactory MVR driving record. Current DOT Physical and Medical Card. Knowledge of applicable federal, state and industry truck driving rules and regulations on public roads and private properties. Ability to handle long hours and adapt to various weather conditions. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to perform physical tasks such as getting in and out of the truck multiple times throughout your shift.
