Production Planner (G-Project)

Position Production Planner Reports to: Manager, Programs Department: Programs Location: Houston or relocation as required. Responsibilities CUSTOMER SUPPORT : Ensure all day‑to‑day communication with customers takes place in a timely fashion. Includes order status, shipment advice, reschedules, customer reports, etc. PRODUCTION AND SHIPMENT SCHEDULE : Ensure efficient production capacity utilisation based on customer‑requested delivery date, order priority, material availability, and production skills. Responsible for daily shipping schedule and execution. CUSTOMER PERFORMANCE : Measure the performance of the customer relationship. Covers shipment/delivery performance, cancellations, invoicing errors, etc., to ensure the business is in line with the quotation. ORDER ADMINISTRATION : Work with the Customer to administer orders from receipt through to shipping and invoicing. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION : Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with the customer and deliver accurate reporting system providing all required management information in the accepted format and frequency. CUSTOMER DOCUMENTS : Manage customer documents required by PCE. ORDER BOOK ADMINISTRATION : Administer all backlog, cancellations, and reschedules; respond to the Customer promptly to advise on changes and implications. SHIPPING : Provide daily shipping plan and outlook based on customer‑requested deadlines; support shipping team with information, training, and system development. TEAMWORK : Cooperate with other departments to achieve operational objectives; analyze data and make decisions with support of relevant groups; liaise with peer group of Production Planners to resolve conflicts between customer accounts.

MEASUREMENTS :

WEEKLY: ORDER BOOK ACCURACY, BACKLOG, DELIVERY PERFORMANCE. MONTHLY: BOOKINGS, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION INDEX, CUSTOMER SPECIFIC METRICS. Qualifications Further education qualification such as a Degree in a relevant Discipline, or equivalent recognition authority. Minimum two years experience in a commercial role, preferably within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. Current full passport. Flexibility with working hours and foreign travel; overtime expected. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. High school education. Primary Skills / Competences Good communication skills. Computer literature. Mathematical, analytical skills. Independent work. Problem solving. Organising skills. Stress tolerance. Accuracy in job performance. Teamwork ability. Secondary Skills Managerial skills. Presentation skills. Further language skills would also be a benefit. Relevant university background.
