Job Summary and Qualifications The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional provides you with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s hospital environment. This paid program includes advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, simulation-based evaluation, mentoring, and evidence‑based practice projects. The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high‑quality patient‑centered care in accordance with state standards. The RN Resident collaborates with providers and team members, serves as a patient advocate, and utilizes nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” What You Will Do in This Role Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered, and document care promptly. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and intervene when necessary. Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively resolve needs. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, and follow‑up care. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment. Other certifications may be required during employment. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state.
