Monitor Tech - DOU - Full Time - Days - 12hr FPH

Job Summary The monitor tech observes and interprets patients' cardiac rhythm status and listens for alarms. Informs the RN of variances to initiate examination of the patient. Greets people at the nurses' station and answers their questions or refers them to appropriate staff members. Responsibilities Transcribe medical orders. Perform unit-based non-clinical duties related to the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients. Organize activities at the nurses' station. Accept patient medications from pharmacy or tube station and give directly to the charge nurse or assigned nurse. Requirements Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred; Unit Secretarial course preferred; EKG interpretation class required. Minimum experience: Prior unit secretary experience preferred; Excellent customer service skills required. Minimum license: BLS required. Pay Range $21.00 - $31.50 #J-18808-Ljbffr Emanate Health
