Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

This is a 26-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekends and holiday rotation required.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in a primarily Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. The RN will are expected to perform essential duties including patient monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient vitals and medical status, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Administer medications and blood products as required.
• Perform EKGs and interpret results.
• Provide care for patients on BiPAP/CPAP and manage feeding tubes, colostomies, and IV lines.
• Work in tandem with Rapid Response teams as necessary.
• Float across all Cone Health facilities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
