Forklift Operator

Responsibilities for a Forklift Operator include but are not limited to:

• Operate a walkie rider pallet jack to pull orders and transport pallets of product

• Load and unload pallets from trucks safely and efficiently

• Move materials to staging areas and prepare shipments for customer delivery

• Use handheld computers and other technology to track orders and shipping progress

• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production and shipping goals

• Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures

• Assist in other departments as needed based on business demands

• Work overtime as required

Candidates for the Forklift Operator position must meet the following requirements:

• Must be forklift certified

• Minimum of 6 months of forklift experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to read orders and record information in English

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Steel-toe shoes required

• Location: Burgaw, NC

• Training Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

• Permanent Shift: 2nd Shift after successful training completion

• Pay Rate: $20.00/hour during training

• Shift Differential: Pay increases to $20.50/hour upon transfer to 2nd Shift (typically by the 3rd week)

Pay Details: $20.00 to $20.50 per hour
