Intervention Teacher (Grades 7-12) Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year Funding Source: CSI Funds The school is seeking a qualified Intervention Teacher to support students in grades 7-12, with a focus on students with disabilities and other at-risk learners. This CSI-funded position is designed to improve academic outcomes for the special education subgroup through targeted interventions and tutoring. Key Responsibilities * Provide small-group and individualized academic interventions aligned to state standards. * Support implementation of standards-based IEP goals in collaboration with special education staff. * Provide tutoring and targeted support to help students progress toward grade-level proficiency. * Use student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction. * Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and administrators. * Maintain required documentation and progress monitoring records. Qualifications * Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate. * Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. * Experience working with students with disabilities and/or at-risk students. * Knowledge of standards-based instruction and intervention strategies. * Meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations Preferred Qualifications * Special Education endorsement or intervention experience. * Experience working with students in grades 7-12. Salary Range: According to Cherokee County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by degree and verified experience.
