Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Forest Hill, MD Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (must be flexible); every other Saturday 7:00am - 12:00pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic tests. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or 6 months of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service orientation. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Travel to additional sites as needed; reliable transportation. Pay Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casually, as interns or temporarily are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
