Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families.
- Monitor labor progression, respond to emergencies, administer medications per protocol, and provide education to patients and families.
- Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with operative deliveries in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Document care plans, progress notes, and patient status; communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Support families through the labor and delivery experience, including discharge planning and postnatal education.

Requirements
- Ability to provide comprehensive nursing care across the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
- Competence in labor and delivery procedures, fetal monitoring, and emergency response.
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and the care team.
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour shift pattern in a hospital setting.
- Team-oriented with the capacity to supervise or coordinate with ancillary staff as needed.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity obstetric care environments.
