EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

Full-time position; 2nd shift position working from 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with a half-hour lunch break; This position has a $.25 shift differential for time worked.

PRIMARY DUTY:

The Custodian willperform various custodial dutiesto includebut not limited tothecleaning of restrooms lounges offices classrooms and corridors in accordance withthestandard operating procedures of the Custodian mustbe flexible andshow the ability to work as a part of a team with a willingness to accept guidance and directives from theCustodial Supervisor and/or the Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clean stock and sanitize areas using established practices and procedures
• Use authorized cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the buildings looking clean and professional
• Adhere to the companys safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone
• Secure and lock assigned areas
• Assist with event set-up and tear down
• Use and maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report all repairs needed
• Assist in cleaning of spills
• Change light bulbs throughout campus as needed
• Observe and report the need ofrepairs throughout campus
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma

Certification/License: Drivers license

Skills: Basic communication skills;basic computer skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Custodial Services is divided into four shifts:6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. 2:00 p.m. 10:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. 1:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. 6:30 a.m. Each shift will include a thirty-minute lunch break.

This positionmaywork various hours depending on the needs of the departmentwith position may beexposedtocold and hot conditionsthroughout the shift. This position must demonstrate safety responsibility and the ability to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE).

This position is considered essential staff. Essential staff provide services that relate directly to the health safety and welfare of the University ensure continuity of key operations and maintain and protect University properties. Should the University close for any reason essential staff will report to work as usual.
