About the Team DoorDash Drive is our company’s hypergrowth fulfillment platform serving restaurants, grocers, and retailers across the United States and abroad. DoorDash Drive allows restaurants, grocers, and retailers to enable e‑commerce fulfillment for their first‑party experiences. About the Role We’re bringing SaaS products to market for our merchant partners, helping them build deep, rich relationships with their customers and surfacing their brand in a way that lands with potential customers. Your work will help us launch these products in a way that resonates and drives adoption. Example: a reputation management platform – a merchant’s central command center for understanding and acting on customer feedback. Our products sit within the DoorDash Commerce Platform that serves enterprise restaurant brands, regional chains, and independent operators. You’ll work across multiple products at varying stages of maturity. Responsibilities Iterate the sales playbook and product positioning. Figure out what messaging lands with different merchant segments – enterprise chains, mid‑market regionals, independents. Test it. Iterate. Scale it. Run competitive positioning. Map the landscape and build the case for why merchants should buy this over alternatives—or over doing nothing, which can sometimes be the more common competitor. Sell directly to merchants. This is a consultative sales motion. You’ll be on calls with merchant decision‑makers—marketers, operations leads, franchise business consultants—deeply understanding their workflows and goals to help them see how these tools solve their day‑to‑day problems and give them additional leverage. Onboard merchants. Design and run the onboarding experience. Figure out what drives high adoption and stickiness across different organizational structures. Shape the product. As the closest person to the merchant, you’ll feed quantitative data and qualitative feedback into the product roadmap. When operators tell you something, ask additional questions to understand whether the product, the pitch, or both need to change. Work cross‑functionally. Collaborate heavily with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Sales. Get technical when needed and work closely with account owners to sell directly to merchants. What Makes This Role Exciting You’ve brought a product to market before—or been close enough to the process that you know what it actually takes. You’re genuinely curious about the product and would ask for a demo before strategizing your go‑to‑market plan. You can sell; you can sit on calls with decision makers, understand their problems and objections, and influence them. You’re comfortable with ambiguity; you manage context‑switching between building prototypes, standing up new merchant‑facing processes, and troubleshooting issues. You use AI tools to streamline workflows and move faster. You have a strong personality and build rapport easily, holding your own without being combative. You’d rather talk to an end customer than stay in a room theorizing about what they want. Preferred Qualifications Restaurant or food tech operators who have been close to the merchant experience. SaaS go‑to‑market roles, especially at early‑stage or growth‑stage companies. Startup operators who have worn multiple hats and built processes from scratch. Consultants who have built things, not just advised on them. Required Qualifications Experience in consultative selling – whether that was your title or not. Real product curiosity; you dig into how things work, not just how to position them. Ability to build and test a pricing or GTM hypothesis, not just present one. Fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) as part of your daily workflow. Strong presentation skills; you can write clearly and hold a room with senior stakeholders. Comfort spanning enterprise and SMB segments—different merchants, motivations, and sales motions. Benefits The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Paid Time Off Details For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation and 80 hours of paid sick time per year. For hourly roles: vacation accrues at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (≈ 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hrs/week, ≈ 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hrs/week); paid sick time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (≈ 5.8 hours/month if 40 hrs/week, ≈ 2.9 hours/month if 20 hrs/week). Compensation Range National base pay range for this position in the United States, including Illinois and Colorado: $87,000—$128,000 USD.
