Activities Assistant

Castle Peak, located in Eagle, CO, is currently seeking a Activities Assistant to join our weekend team! In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing activities for the residents in the Skilled Nursingand Assisted Living facility. In this role, you will conduct fun and exciting activities with our residents. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being and has a creative personality and positive attitude. Position Type: Part-Time, working a varying schedule including every other weekend Wage Range: $17 to $20 / hour depending on experience. Location: 195 Freestone Road 5980, Eagle, Colorado 81631 Activities Assistant responsibilities: Plan and monitor leisure activities for residents in both individual and group settings including community outings and outdoor activities. Encourage, support, and assist residents to help continue their individual interests and hobbies. Coordinate weekend, evening, and holiday events. Maintain an open working relationship with the resident's family/guardian. Observe and document activity attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement. Transport residents to and from activities of their choosing. Coordinate meetings and record meeting minutes. Act as a positive representative of the facility at all times. Assistwith recruiting and maintaining volunteer program for campus. Perform other related tasks as requested. Life Enrichment Assistant skills and requirements: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience in a health/human services related field preferred. Prior experience working in a therapeutic activity department preferred. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Desire to work with older adults in a long term care setting. Ability to manage diverse individuals and large projects.
