About the Role

The Company is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support on a wide range of issues, with a focus on commercial work, including the review and negotiation of complex agreements. This role requires a strong background in technology law, intellectual property law, contract law, and corporate governance, as well as a solid grounding in privacy fundamentals. The Associate General Counsel will also be expected to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, proactively manage legal and regulatory risk, and develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, be a member in good standing with the state bar of California, and have at least 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the technology industry or at a major law firm with a tech client focus. The role demands excellent legal research and writing skills, a startup-oriented mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and interpreting a variety of contracts, and the ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on commercial work, particularly in the area of client-facing commercial activities. A proactive, collaborative approach and the willingness to be hands-on across various responsibilities are essential for this position.
