Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a surgical unit position in California, requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the surgical unit of a 254-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current AHA BLS or ARC BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• Current AHA PALS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR/surgical nursing experience required
• Must have worked in the OR specialty within the last 3 months
• Cerner and/or Epic experience must be documented in work history
• BSN preferred
• Active, unrestricted license with no prior disciplinary actions on record
• 2 supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• OR specialty skills checklist completed within the past year required

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs activities of various levels of nursing staff and coordinates care across disciplines
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to promote safe, patient-centered care
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Local candidates are welcome — no radius rule applies and local rates are the same as travel rates
• RTO requests exceeding 5 days will result in automatic disqualification
• Candidates may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
