Your future role at a glance Location: Milwaukee, WI Facility: Columbia St Mary's Milwaukee Department: Surgery Schedule: Rotating shift | Full-Time How you'll make an impact in this role Performs scrub duties, including the handling of instruments and supplies used in complex cardiovascular surgeries. Executes circulating nurse functions, which involve monitoring, documenting, and communicating the patient's condition, as well as overseeing the total nursing care during cardiovascular procedures. Assists operating physicians and anesthesia providers with the placement and maintenance of lines and with intubation during cardiovascular procedures. Prepares the cardiovascular operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional requirements you'll need Nurses with two years of OR experience who want to elevate their career by joining our CVOR team. Enjoys working collaboratively with an expert surgical team in a high-acuity environment, focusing on advanced cardiac and vascular procedures.
