Purpose: 

The Children’s Services Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the assigned program(s)

including programmatic and financial management. Monitors staff to ensure adequate delivery of

services to individuals and will act as a liaison between administration and his/her department. 

Must also serve as a member of the administrative team. 

Essential Functions: 

• Follow ATC Policies and Procedures
• Adhere to universal precautions and blood-borne pathogen standards
• Use the least restrictive methods necessary to maintain the safety of the student, self, and others
• Communicate appropriately with students, caregivers, coworkers, and supervisors (verbally and in writing)
• Oversees the treatment services for children enrolled in ATC’s residential program
• Ensures the delivery of individual service plans, recreation plans, and behavior plans
• Ensures program data and behavior data are collected daily
• Works with direct care staff in the residential setting, ensuring they are following FPS minimum standards and are collecting data. 
• Implements behavior plans set in place by facility behavior specialist
• Serves as liaison between ATC’s FPS children and their assigned public school
• Serves as the liaison for FPS Caseworkers and Assisted Living guardians or caseworkers
• Has a caseload of 5 FPS kids and 6 young adults/ adults in Assisted Living; 20 total
• Communicates well with ATC nurse and ATC residential coordinator
• Reports to the Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA), or maintains current LCCA. 
• Writes quarterly and annual service plans for individuals in caseload
• Initiates and holds IDT meetings to discuss clients’ needs, service plans, changes to plans, and other information as needed.
• Conducts home walk-throughs and checks for minimum standard compliance; ensures homes are in compliance and audit-ready.
• Offers minimum standard training to residential staff 
• Serves as the ATC Professional Level Service Provider: Collects and writes reports for quarterly YFT reviews. Establishes appropriate LOC with YFT.
• Serves as the ATC Admissions Coordinator: Receives common applications for children needing placement; selects individuals who are appropriate for placement; shares selection with admissions committee; admissions committee makes decision. Ensures all required documentation is collected prior to placement. Admission assessments, discharge summaries. 
• Completes Consumer Change Notice for admissions/discharges for accounting office.
• Daily supervision and on-site administrative responsibility for the overall operation 
• Ensures that the operation complies with current heightened monitoring plans, if applicable.
• Overseeing staffing patterns to ensure the supervision and the provision of child-care services that meet the needs of children in care 
• Ensuring the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of children 
• Have a system in place to ensure an employee is available to handle emergencies
• Assigning tasks to caregivers that do not conflict or interfere with caregiver responsibilities
• Administering and managing the operation according to your policies
• Ensure that the operation complies with applicable rules of Chapter 42 of the Human Resources Code, Chapter 745 of this title (relating to Licensing), and other applicable laws
• Ensure a child in care is not assigned, utilized, or allowed to act as a caregiver 
• Ensure persons whose behavior or health status is known to present a danger to children are not allowed at the operation.
• Conducts New Employee Orientation (NEO) Training, as needed/assigned.
• Report illnesses and injuries to the Director and Head of Nursing. 
• Ensures that the houses and their equipment are safe and in good working order; submits requests to Facilities promptly.

Requirements:

Perform as Needed

Perform CPR, SAMA techniques, and the abdominal thrust maneuver.

Report any allegations of abuse and/or neglect.

Required License(s) and Certifications

Must maintain current CPR, First Aid, and SAMA certification.

Must maintain current Texas Driver's License and personal automobile liability insurance.

Must maintain auto insurability with Agency carrier.

Must maintain required annual training certifications provided by the company and/or agency licensing

Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA)

Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s or Doctoral degree and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years' experience in community programs or such skills and experience as determined necessary by the Director, which meet or exceed the minimum standards for the position as established by applicable program certification standards.

Safety and Health Risks

1. Slip and fall exposure.

2. Physical and verbal abuse exposure from Individuals and/or their families and/or staff.

3. Exposure to muscle strains from lifting, stooping, reaching, and twisting.

4. Exposure to muscle strain from running, walking, lifting, stooping, reaching, and twisting

Hours of Work

Full-time schedule based upon a 40-hour work week – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. 

Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the program.

(Available 24 hours per day, seven days per week)
