The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant – Mohs & General Dermatology to join our West Palm Beach office.
This position is ideal for a Medical Assistant with a strong dermatology background and hands-on Mohs surgery experience. You will support providers in both general dermatology and Mohs surgery, providing clinical assistance throughout the patient’s visit.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a close-knit clinical team, and has a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
What You’ll Do- Welcome patients, obtain medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist providers with general dermatology visits, biopsies, excisions, and other procedures
- Assist with Mohs surgery and surgical procedures
- Prepare patients and surgical rooms for Mohs procedures
- Assist with sterile technique and maintain a clean, organized surgical field
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative instructions
- Scribe for providers and accurately document patient information in EMA/Modernizing Medicine
- Support providers during examinations, procedures, and additional testing
- Maintain, clean, disinfect, and restock exam and procedure rooms
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required
- Previous hands-on Mohs experience is required
- Dermatology Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred
- Experience assisting with biopsies, excisions, wound care, and other dermatologic procedures
- Strong understanding of Mohs surgery and surgical workflow
- Experience with EMA/Modernizing Medicine strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in both general dermatology and Mohs surgery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
