Pharmacy Technician - InpatientJob Posting TextThe UW Medical Center - Northwest Pharmacy Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient.Work ScheduleFull-Time / 40 hours per week Evening ShiftPosition HighlightsPerform a variety of pharmaceutical tasks under the general supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist. Engage in accurate and timely medication procurement, medication packaging and dispensing, filling medication orders, and preparing compounded sterile products. Promote appropriate, safe, and effective medication use.Department DescriptionUW Medicine's Pharmacy Department provides high-quality and comprehensive pharmacy services to our patients and providers. Our team of specially trained pharmacists and technicians work closely with doctors and nurses to ensure our patients receive the best medication therapy for their condition.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesAccurate and timely medication procurement, preparation and dispensing. Restock drug storage areas and refill automated drug dispensing devices in all hospital areas. Packaging of medications into single unit doses and preparation of patient-specific doses as needed. Triage incoming phone calls and clinical inquiries requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement within the Pharmacy Department.Required Position QualificationsCompletion of an accredited/approved pharmacy technician training program.
