School Social Worker Intern

The School Social Worker Intern works under the direction of a Certified School Social Worker to become familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the School Social Worker and to fulfill the requirements of ISBE. The position requires assisting with researching resources for students and families, attending School Social Worker meetings and trainings, building rapport with students, and advocating for students' education, safety and well being. The candidate must have coursework in education as determined by an M.S.W. program or post M.S.W. program from an accredited university. The position involves moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel.
