Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience, advanced fetal monitoring certification, and NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor credentials.

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Minimum of 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Travelers who have previously worked at this health system may return after a 6-month separation period, as the facility limits placements to one extension (26 weeks total)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — the facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and will not negotiate start dates
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided all other requirements are met
