Intervention Specialist

A K-12 Intervention Specialist provides individualized academic, developmental, behavioral, and social support to students with disabilities in a school-based setting. This role implements IEPs, monitors student progress, provides specialized instruction and accommodations, and collaborates with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success. The ideal candidate is patient, proactive, collaborative, and passionate about helping students with disabilities thrive in an inclusive educational environment. Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Responsibilities Implement individualized education programs (IEPs), accommodations, modifications, and behavioral supports. Provide individualized instruction and interventions based on student needs. Monitor, collect, and document student progress and behavioral data. Maintain accurate and timely student records and daily documentation. Support positive classroom behavior and respond appropriately to crisis situations. Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers. Communicate student progress, needs, and concerns with the educational team and families. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Participate in required training and professional development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in special education, early childhood education, or a related field. Valid Intervention Specialist license or eligibility for applicable licensure. Experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs. Knowledge of IEPs, individualized instruction, accommodations, and behavioral supports. Ability to safely respond to student behavioral or crisis situations.
